Over 4500 Iron Age Hilforts have been identified across the British Isles.
This collection brings together 21 of these iconic sites from across the northern part of Somerset.
The sites run south along the Severn Estuary from Bristol to Brent Knoll and east inland along the Mendip Hills.
Developed with North Somerset Council's senior archaeologist, each site reflects
- its landscape setting
- its possible earthworks, revetments, pallisades and gateways
- roundhouses and grain stores
Fly low and slow across sites that dominated the landscape two thousand years ago and still maintain their mystery today.
